Mommy Salad: The Salad Your Kids Actually Ask For
Simple, colorful, and packed with goodness. This is the go-to salad that even picky eaters crave.
There’s something I hear all the time from parents:
“I just want my kids to eat something healthy without a battle.”
Same.
Somewhere along the way, this salad became a staple in our house and now it has a name: Mommy Salad. What started as me throwing together whatever we had in the fridge has turned into the one thing my kids consistently ask for.
Yes… a salad. 🙌
Why It Works
This isn’t a “perfect” salad. It’s a real-life, gets-eaten, makes-everyone-happy salad.
It’s:
Colorful and crunchy
Customizable for everyone at the table
Balanced with fiber, healthy fats, and protein
And most importantly… kid-approved

A Gentle Reminder
At Wellness Insights Integrative Medicine, we often talk about nourishing our bodies with whole, balanced foods. And while this salad may not be “perfect” by every standard, it’s a beautiful example of something even better: A meal your kids enjoy, ask for, and feel good eating. That’s a win, friends!
Make It Your Own
Every family’s version will look a little different and that’s the point.
Add what you love. Skip what you don’t. Let your kids help build it.
Because sometimes the best meals aren’t about perfection…they’re about connection, consistency, and a little bit of crunch.
