Wellness Insights Integrative Medicine Welcomes Gina McAvoy as Director of Events and Partnerships

At Wellness Insights Integrative Medicine, we believe wellness extends far beyond the walls of an appointment room. It is built through meaningful conversations, shared experiences, education, and community connection. That is why we are so excited to welcome Gina McAvoy as our new Director of Events and Partnerships.

With an impressive background leading events and partnerships across multiple countries and industries, Gina brings a thoughtful, global perspective to the Wellness Insights community. Her passion for creating exceptional experiences and fostering meaningful human connection aligns seamlessly with the heart of our practice.

“My career has always been rooted in creating exceptional experiences and building meaningful connections,” Gina shares. “When the opportunity arose to bring those skills to a wellness setting, it felt like a natural and exciting evolution.”

Born in Portugal, raised in the United States, and having spent more than 20 years living and working throughout Asia, Gina’s international experience has shaped the way she views wellness, community, and connection. Her perspective reflects a deep understanding that health is never one-size-fits-all.

“Integrative wellness to me means looking at the whole person, not just the symptoms, but the lifestyle, the mindset, and the environment,” she explains. “Having lived across multiple cultures, I’ve seen how differently people approach health and healing, and it taught me early on that true wellness is about finding what works for you as an individual.”

In her role, Gina will help lead the development of community events, partnerships, collaborations, and experiences designed to make integrative medicine feel approachable, inspiring, and deeply human.

“Events create touchpoints where people who may never have walked through our doors can be introduced to integrative medicine in an accessible and inviting way,” she says. “For existing patients, they deepen the sense of belonging and reinforce that their wellness journey is supported by a whole community, not just a single appointment.”

For Gina, the power of events lies in their ability to make people feel seen, informed, and connected.

“I hope people walk away feeling welcomed, inspired, and genuinely cared for,” she says. “Wellness is for everyone, and community is at the heart of it.”

Already, Gina has become a meaningful part of the Wellness Insights team. She describes the culture as one rooted in passion, warmth, and a shared commitment to making a difference in patients’ lives.

“From very early on, there was such a genuine positivity and warmth from everyone around me,” she shares. “That sense of belonging and shared purpose has made it easy, and I think that says everything about the culture here.”

Outside of work, Gina finds grounding in simple daily rituals like walking or jogging alone, moments that allow her to reset, reflect, and recharge. Home life is full of energy, she and her husband are kept on their toes by three kids (ages 19, 17, and 13), a dog, and two cats! For Gina, that balance between quiet personal moments and the beautiful chaos of family life is very much a part of her own wellness journey.

Looking ahead, Gina is especially excited about upcoming community collaborations and events, including a fall event currently in development that will help bring more people into the Wellness Insights community in an inspiring and accessible way.

We are thrilled to welcome Gina to Wellness Insights Integrative Medicine and look forward to the meaningful experiences and connections she will help create for our patients and broader community.
