Simple Lemon Electrolyte Water Recipe for Daily Hydration
SERVES 6
PREP TIME: 2 minutes
Dr. Katie Life Water is one of my favorite simple wellness habits. It transforms plain water into something a little more enjoyable while providing a touch of flavor and electrolytes to support hydration throughout the day.
Fresh lemon adds a bright, refreshing taste, while a small pinch of sea salt helps replenish electrolytes lost through sweat, exercise, travel, or everyday life. My favorite salt to use is Maldon sea salt flakes, but kosher salt or Himalayan pink salt work beautifully as well.
Ingredients
1 liter water
1 lemon, cut into 6 wedges
Flaky sea salt
Directions
Fill a liter-sized glass or metal drinking container with the water.
Squeeze the juice of 1 lemon wedge into the water.
Add the juiced wedge and a smidgen of salt and shake to combine.
Life Kitchen Tips
When cutting a lemon for serving purposes, I find it helpful to cut off the ends first. Then I cut the lemon into wedges, avoiding or chopping off the white inner membrane, which makes your wedges look pretty and easy to squeeze.
