This three-part workshop will introduce simple, yet powerful steps you can take as a parent to reduce your child's anxiety by incorporating interventions grounded in the SPACE model, developed through the Yale Child Study Center. SPACE is as effective as more traditional therapeutic approaches, yet uniquely involves no child participation and is appropriate for all ages and developmental stages. Hosted by Symmetry Therapeutic Services, this workshop focuses on changes that parents can make to their own behavior to address and improve a wide-range of common issues, including:
Separation anxiety
Social anxiety
Generalized anxiety
Fears and phobias
Panic disorder
Obsessive-compulsive disorder
Picky eating
In addition, Wellness Insight's Integrative Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Annie Harrington, will share how pediatric integrative medicine can support children with anxiety—addressing mind, body, and lifestyle factors—and how this approach fits within whole-family care.
